This recipe is a necessity for Brian and I! We love eating one or two of these bites after a workout. Not only do they provide protein to help you recover from your workouts, they taste like cookie dough! I am not kidding, these power bites taste like the most amazing cookie dough you can think of. And you can make them in 10 minutes with just a handful of ingredients!
Power Protein Bites
1 cup oatmeal
⅓ cup honey
½ cup coconut flakes
½ cup all natural peanut butter
2 heaping tablespoons of ground flaxseed
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips OR dried cranberries
1 tsp vanilla
Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well blended and roll into balls. Chill in the refrigerator for one hour before eating. Makes about 12 bites depending on how much mixture you use to form the bites.
The beauty of this recipe is that you can add, remove or adjust the various ingredients to achieve the consistency or taste that you like! Have fun experimenting with your own versions!
