Smoothies are great, I love them because they take a minimal amount of time to make and are a great way to use up veggies and fruits that you have frozen. Oh and not to mention they are filling and pack a wallop of nutrients! This smoothie is one I love to make in the afternoon when I am feeling particularly hungry, but need to eat on the go. It's full of blueberries, strawberries, mango, chia seeds (for protein), spinach, coconut flakes and coconut milk. Enjoy!
Purple Power Smoothie
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 tablespoon coconut flakes
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 cup coconut milk or enough milk to reach desired thickness
Place all ingredients in blender. Blend until desired consistency is achieved.
