I did it, I am a chef! The grades are in and I have officially graduated culinary school. What a journey this has been. I remember the intensely exciting but also panic inducing moment when I quit my full time job to go back to school. So many nerves and insecurities! Then there was my first day of class. It was a crisp fall morning and I remember panicking when the chef told us our menu for the day. I wondered if I was up to snuff with the other students in the kitchen. Fast forward many cut and burned fingers later and here I am, getting ready to jump into the field as a culinary professional.
I am so humbled and grateful to have been able to learn from the amazing chefs I had the honor of working with. I also cherish all of the incredibly talented classmates that pushed me to be better and taught me to laugh at my mistakes.
So what's next? I am so excited to be working with Sur La Table as their Culinary Lead. I will be teaching culinary classes as well as managing some of the business aspects of the cooking school. Also keep a close eye on my blog, I have some new updates headed your way and will be able to post more yummy recipes, tips and tricks!
