This is that smoothie for me! It’s helped me get through some late night cravings (hello Whole30!!) and early mornings.

It’s got a delightful berry flavor with a surprising note of tropical pineapple that keeps your tastebuds interested the whole glass. To me this smoothie is everything a smoothie should be, easy, refreshing and energizing.

I also love that it has a healthy does of Omega-3’s as well. Thanks to the chia seeds in this smoothie, you’ll be getting protein, fiber, and a whole bunch of good for you bonuses. And as a double bonus, I added spinach that you won’t even taste…talk about a power packed smoothie!

Watch me make this smoothie!

Berry Beautiful Skin Smoothie

Who doesn't love a smoothie that tastes great and makes your skin radiant!? This berry smoothie is packed full of ingredients to make your skin gloooowwww! It's got vitamin C to brighten, coconut water to hydrate and spinach to help you eat your veggies :).

This icy berry blast is also the perfect porch smoothie for the summer. Cold and refreshing, it helps keep the heat at bay on muggy summer nights.

Berry Beautiful Skin Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup frozen mixed blueberries, raspberries and strawberries
  • 1/4 cup spinach

Add all ingredients to a blender starting with the coconut water and blend on high until smooth. Add more coconut water to adjust the consistency to your liking.

Mocha Breakfast Shake

I do love a good breakfast shake in the morning! It's the ultimate grab and go breakfast. You can drink it on the way to work, school or any morning appointment you have. This shake is especially nice because it has coffee in it! Any time I can get my caffeine and breakfast in one convenient cup is a win. This shake tastes like a mocha latte but without the loads of calories. It has cashew butter and rolled oats to keep you full until lunch. A healthy dose of coffee is added in for energy and frozen bananas with a touch of honey to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Try this shake for breakfast tomorrow and get your morning off to a sweet and energizing start!!

Mocha Breakfast Shake

Makes 1 large shake

  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled to room temp
  • 1 banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1/4-cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup cashew milk (or your favorite nut milk)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cashew butter

Place cashew milk, coffee, honey and cashew butter in blender. Blend for a few seconds until smooth. Add in remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Adjust sweetness by adding more honey if needed.

Morning Green Smoothie

Mornings are a magical time. It's a fresh start to a new day full of opportunities! To help me tackle my day, I always drink either a protein shake or this refreshing and delicious green smoothie. This sweet drink is full of nutrients and positive vibes to help set the day off to a good start.

Pineapple and grapes really give this smoothie a sweet note and helps cover the "green" taste of the kale. The coconut water adds a refreshing and hydrating balance to the heavier banana flavor. I used frozen pineapple in my recipe to add some texture and chill the smoothie, but you can always add fresh pineapple if you want to!

If you are new to drinking green smoothies, this is an excellent one for you to try! You can always add more pineapple and remove the kale if you feel the "green" taste is too strong for you. Over time you can cut down on the pineapple and add the kale back in once you have gotten used to the taste.

Morning Green Smoothie

Makes 1 serving

  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 handful kale, stems removed
  • 1/2 cup green grapes
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Place all items in a blender and blend until smooth. Add more coconut water if your smoothie isn't as thin as you would like it!
